Module I. Essential ophthalmology - Ocular surface diseases

The eye is an extremely delicate organ, and even a „trivial“ ulcer can quickly lead to corneal perfortion and loss of the eye. As a general practitioner, most of your ophthlamic caseload probably involves diseases of the ocular surface (eyelids, conjunctiva, cornea), and these will be the focus of this module. Here is what we shall cover (*subject to changes):

Conjunctivitis is a very common ocular presentation, yet the clinical approach to the disease in dogs and cats is completely different. Learn how to diagnose and manage diseases of the canine and feline conjunctivitis, including diseases of the canine third eyelid.
