The eye is an extremely delicate organ, and even a „trivial“ ulcer can quickly lead to corneal perfortion and loss of the eye. As a general practitioner, most of your ophthlamic caseload probably involves diseases of the ocular surface (eyelids, conjunctiva, cornea), and these will be the focus of this module.
