Phaco Course

Description:

This 2-day course will provide the latest information on cataract surgery (theoretical lectures and practical training in a wetlab) including corneal and intraocular approach, capsulorhexis, phacoemulsification and artificial lens implantation. Lectures will focus on surgical techniques, instrumentation, patient selection and complications of surgery. The course will be limited to 12 attendees and the wetlab is set-up with 6 workplaces. Each station is fully equipped with an Operating Microscope and the EICKEMEYER® PhacoVet – the first Phaco unit that has been specially designed and developed for the requirements in Veterinary Ophthalmology.

Target Group:

advanced ophthalmological surgeons, preferably with experience in intraocular surgery

Seminar Objective:

  • Cataract surgery with phacoemulsification and implantation of an artificial lens
